It seems to be a common theme, but another person has come forward as a birthday lottery winner. We’ve featured three on this site in recent months. The latest is a grandfather from Whitley Bay in the north of England. The £100,000 birthday lottery win came in October, the night before his 57th birthday. Kevin Brown felt lucky on the last day of being 56 and decided to play a Camelot instant win game. The rest, as they say, is history and he went into his birthday having won a substantial prize.
The Birthday Lottery Win Speaks Out
A typical Friday night for Kevin Brown is to scour the internet looking at photos of classic cars. With a lucky feeling in his bones, Brown opted to play a game called £4m Black. Although he did not win the £4m jackpot, he did win a substantial sum of money – perhaps enough to buy a classic car of his own. When the instant win result came through with the number “100”, the man with the big birthday lottery win assumed he had won £100. It soon dawned that the prize was not £100, but £100,000.
Kevin Brown intends to spend some of the money on his hobby of restoring classic cars. He now hopes to invest in his prized Armstrong Sidley Lancaster which requires re-upholstering. His model is similar the image above but brown and cream in colour. His wife could not be happier and thought her husband was joking when he shouted up the stairs about their win. For the pair, this was the best birthday present ever. Although it is common to buy lottery tickets and scratch cards as birthday and Christmas gifts, there is little evidence that the number of birthday wins has increased.
